Royal West of England Art Academy

I have mentioned the Royal West of England Art Academy as one of Bristol’s gems and that becoming a ‘friend’ will enable this old institution to survive and flourish and provide you with lots of arty opportunities.

Unfortunately, I am not a RWA academician and unable to exhibit there regularly but I do exhibit at the Blue Room in Nailsea which is one of the next best places.

A2 Gallery

I also exhibit at another best place to the RWA and that is at the A2 Gallery in Wells, a different concept to the Blue Room but another gallery that supports local artists by providing space for them to showcase and sell their work.

There are 21 separate wall space units and 18 plinths exhibiting a variety of artistic works including paintings, photography, jewellery, textiles in fact anything that is hand crafted and unique, like the Blue Room I am in the company of numerous accomplished artists and pleased to be showing my work alongside theirs.

Wells is a great place to visit and any visit should include this gallery.

Tobacco Factory Sunday Market

I also exhibit at The Tobacco Factory Sunday Market in Raleigh Road, Bedminster. This is a vibrant, bustling market with about 40 stalls selling locally produced food and drink, all sorts of arts and crafts, beautiful flowers , records, books and many other thing

There is a real holiday atmosphere about the market and the traders are all so friendly and helpful. Its a great place to wander around, to meet up with friends and have Sunday lunch with a difference,  while sampling different beers, wines or soft drinks of your choice.

I aim to get a pitch every two months and I will be selling paintings, greeting cards, mugs and placemats and other merchandise featuring my art.

I will also be doing painting demonstrations, hoping to inspire visitors to explore their creative side and have a go at painting.
